Merck KGaA Appoints New Head of Group Controlling

Merck KGaA has appointed Anke Schenkel as head of Group Controlling & Risk Management, effective on April 1, 2017. Ms. Schenkel will report to Marcus Kuhnert, chief financial officer and member of the executive board of Merck KGaA.

Currently head of Forecasting, Reporting & Governance in Controlling of the company’s healthcare business sector, Ms. Schenkel will succeed Joachim Christ who will become the group’s chief procurement officer effective April 1, 2017, as announced previously.

Prior to joining Merck in 2010, Ms. Schenkel held various roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
