Recipharm, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) based in Jordbro, Sweden, has appointed Ann Flodin as general manager of its wholly owned new subsidiary, Recipharm Laboratories, in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, formerly Cirrus Pharmaceuticals which Recipharm acquired from Kemwell, a Sweden-based CDMO, in May 2016. Ms. Flodin will be responsible for managing daily operations at Recipharm’s Research Triangle Park location and will focus on expanding and strengthening Recipharm’s development services to US customers.
Ms. Flodin has a background in chemical engineering and more than 20 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry in both contract development and manufacturing services. She joined Recipharm in 1996 as a scientist in process engineering before moving on to manage the pharmaceutical development laboratory. She joins the Research Triangle Park facility from a senior position in group operations development and was previously the general manager at Recipharm in Höganäs, Sweden.
