Aptuit Names VP, Drug Discovery and Development

Aptuit has named Henning Steinhagen, PhD, as executive vice president, drug discovery and development, and site-head Verona. In this role, he will focus on the growth of Aptuit as a partner research organization and provider of outsourced services in the early discovery and development space. He joins Aptuit from Grünenthal, a global pharmaceutical company.

At Grünenthal, Dr. Steinhagen was senior vice president and head of global drug discovery. Before joining Grünenthal, Dr. Steinhagen served for seve years at Sanofi-Aventis in positions of increasing responsibility in medicinal chemistry. Before that he was in the medicinal chemistry group at Bayer.
