Almac Group, a contract development and manufacturing organization, has made two senior appointments.
The company has appointed George Tiger as vice president of global business development for its Clinical Technologies business unit responsible for commercial operations and business development.
Prior to joining Almac, Mr. Tiger held the position of senior vice president, life sciences sales for Health Market Science,where he was responsible for the sales efforts across the life sciences industry. Prior to this, his experience included more than 12 years with ERT, a supplier of cardiac safety, respiratory, and eCOA solutions, where he served in a series of management positions of increasing responsibility in the US, Europe, and globally. With over 25 years’ experience in the field, he began his career with Abbott Laboratories, Diagnostics Division.
Almac has also appointed John Robson, PhD., to the position of vice president, quality operations for its Sciences’ business unit. He will be responsible for the operation of their analytical services business and overseeing quality across their sites located throughout the UK and US. In addition to his direct operational responsibilities, he will also be a member of the senior leadership team, focusing on strategy development and implementation to expand and grow their global operations.
He has more than 20 years of experience in a number of business leadership, quality, and analytical roles. Je joins Almac directly from Lonza Biologics, where he held the position of global head of analytical services. Prior to this, he served as vice president and general manager, early development at Covance, and global head of bioanalytical services at MDS Pharma Services.
